CRITICAL DATES:

Mandatory Tryouts:

1/24, 1/25 from 4:00–6:00 at B&G (full gear). Docs below are required to tryout.

Documents to be submitted NO LATER THAN1/24 (first day of tryouts):

1)Player Registration
2)** Player Code of Conduct and Contract–Parent & Player signatures
3)** Fine Print Agreement–Parent signature
4)** EL2 (version3/16) –must be signed by parent, player, and physician. Doctor must say “Cleared without Limitation”. Form can’t be older than 1 year from doctor’s signature.

5)** EL3 (version5/18) –complete “G” on page 1, Parent & Player signatures on all 4 pages

Tryout Results:

1/25 in the evening via e-mail and website

First Practice:

1/26 from 4:00 – 6:00pm for Varsity, 3:15 -5:15pm for JV

Mandatory Parent Meeting:

1/26 from 6:30 –8:00 pm at the BHS cafeteria. Please plan on bringing an item for the potluck dinner according to your daughter’s year:

Freshman: Dessert
Sophomore: Main Dishes
Junior: Salad, Fruit, or Sides
Senior: Drinks

Action items for the 1/26 PARENT MEETING (bring several checks):

1)FAIR SHARE payment for Varsity ($400) and JV ($325). Payment by credit card or check. Checks made to “BHS Girls Lacrosse Booster Club”. Note –check payments may be made in installments of half on 1/26 ,half on 2/18 if need be. No reminder will be sent to you.

2)VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT of $75 (must be made by check or cash). If you elect to pay rather than volunteer, your check will be cashed immediately. Otherwise, your check is NOT cashed unless you do not meet your 3 credits of volunteer service by the end of season. This check is written separately from the Fair Share check.

3) SIGN UP for Volunteer positions. Information and descriptions will be provided at the meeting but volunteer positions for each team include: Driving Coordinator, Fundraising Chair, Banquet/Awards Chair, Concessions, Team Photographer, Team Videographer, Game Official Refreshments, Team Refreshments, Game Stats, Game Spotter, Scorekeeper/Timer, Announcer, Field Set-up and Clean up.

4)There will be some stock from previous years for purchase as well.

Concussion Test:

All players must have a baseline concussion test. We will have a signup sheet for test times. Testing is in the AD’s office behind the gym, after school from 2:30 –6:00. (Already completed by most players)

Team Dinners:

2/8 at 6:00, Varsity –host tbd. JV –host tbd.

Outside food is provided, girls will sign up to bring dessert, paper products, and drinks. Athletes will nominate Captains, set up phone trees and uniforms will be distributed.
